This is a block of text from an email that a Pastor Cc'd us on.  He was soliciting input from his advisors on implementing our stewardship program at their church.  It touches on several points that we try to make with potential clients.

Dear Fr. __________ and all,

Please look over the following Stewardship promotional materials that I received in the mail.
It seems very timely for our Parish Fall Stewardship Renewal.

I've read thru the materials and spoke with them on the phone.  One part that I really like is their NO-LOSS INSURANCE.  They insure that in case we do not realize an increase over and above our current regular offerings which covers their fees, they will refund the difference.  As of August 31, 200_, we have 2709 mailing addresses.  At $10.00 per unit, we would put out $27,090.00.  The insurance is that if our annual pledges do not increase by at lease $27,090.00, they refund the difference.

Recall we did have a “spike” in revenue when we contracted with the folks from Georgia a few years ago.  I believe it is time to encourage our people again with another focused effort.  Unlike our experience with the folks from Georgia, this time they do all the work.  This time we would be insured against a loss.  This time the total cost is about one-third the former cost.  This time we will save money because we would not need to do any of the printing ourselves - they print all of it.  We merely transport the letters to our post office on the appropriate mailing days.

They need 4-6 weeks lead time for preparation of materials before kick-off.  So, your reflections ASAP would be appreciated.  The campaign could start the week of October 13 and conclude at Thanksgiving, just before the “Christmas” requests.

Thank you for your advice.  We will be discussing this at the Pastoral Council meeting on 9-4.
